Seneca Community Grieves Loss of 6-Year-Old Crew Camp After Battle with Brain Cancer

The School District of Oconee County and the community as a whole is remembering a brave little boy today. Dr. Elizabeth McDonald with the SDOC said six-year-old Crew Caden Camp of Seneca passed away over the weekend at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, after a courageous battle with DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), a rare and aggressive brain tumor…
Crew’s resilience and spirit inspired widespread community support, including a special performance by the Clemson University Symphonic Band and a heartwarming Christmas parade organized by local residents upon his return from treatment last year. The Northside Elementary School student is remembered by family, friends, teachers, and a community touched by his story. The family has requested privacy during this time of mourning.
