Seneca Council given Update on City Administrator search

An update on the search for a new city administrator was given to the Seneca City Council Tuesday night. During executive session, Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander informed the council about the number of applications received as well as the interviews conducted so far in the process to replace Greg Dietterick, who retires on June 30, after 20 years as Seneca City Administrator. “We had 20 applicants apply, interviewed about a half a dozen or more and tonight I brought council up to date on the different people that Greg and myself have interviewed. There has not been a decision made yet but I definitely wanted to get their input and what they thought about some of the things that I said about each and every one of them. So, we had lots of good candidates, I’m very thankful for that but in the next few weeks I will continue this process and hopefully be able to select someone.” The hope is to have a selection made in time for that person to train under Dietterick, who has stated to council that he will assist in the transition process.
