Seneca Council takes No Action after Executive Session

No action was taken by the Seneca City Council following an hour long executive session Wednesday night. Three attorneys and City Administrator Greg Dietterick joined the council in the private meeting that discussed water agreements, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander. “In executive session we talked about our water agreements, which has several things in there that we will be getting legal advice on that. Part of that agreement actually addresses annexation too, so we will be bringing the council in to update them on legal advice concerning our agreements.” The unusual middle of the week meeting, comes as both Seneca and Oconee County are dealing with the prospect of losing seven acres in the Hartwell Village Shopping Center to an annexation request into the City of Clemson.
