Seneca Council votes to make Counter Offer to Pioneer

After an Executive Session that span an hour and half in a Special Called Meeting Thursday night, the Seneca City Council unanimously voted to make a counter offer to the Pioneer Rural Water District. Councilman Dana Moore made the motion. “Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander asked for a motion and then Councilman Moore made the motion to give the City Administrator the authority to transmit a counter proposal contract to Pioneer Water after a review and recommendation by our City Attorney.” Earlier this week, the Pioneer board requested Seneca lower its proposed wholesale charge and grant relief from other considerations in the contract.
