Seneca Events Committee recommending Jazz Fest in April and October

A three-day Jazz Fest event is being proposed in the City of Seneca. At their meeting this week, the Events Committee made a recommendation to hold a Jazz Fest event at the beginning and end of the Jazz on the Alley season, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander. “The Events Committee is making all these recommendations to the City Council next Tuesday and Jazz Fest is actually going to be a three-day event, Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night at the beginning of the season in April and then at the end of the season in October. I know they had talked about letting it be a little bit longer, maybe like to 10pm. But I am looking forward to that because I know that the Thursday night is a big event, so this will just be a great way to kick it off for this year and to have some great bands for three-days in a row, bringing people downtown, letting them enjoy our restaurants and enjoy the downtown.” The Seneca City Council will consider the Jazz Fest recommendation at their next meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 13.
