Seneca High School Announces School’s Army Junior ROTC program has earned an Honor Unit with Distinction Recognition

(Seneca, SC)–Seneca High School has announced that its Army Junior ROTC program has earned an Honor Unit with Distinction recognition.

The program, according to a press release, received it first-ever formal JROTC Program for Accreditation Inspection back in November.

The ARMY JROTC units are evaluated every four years by the U.S. Army’s Cadet Command from Fort Knox, KY.

The Honor with Distinction recognition means that the program received a score of at least 95% overall proficiency. The school’s program received a score of 96 out of 100. The recognition means that the Cadets at Seneca High will have the opportunity to apply for an appointment at one of the nation’s military academies with a nomination.
