Seneca Man arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man Thursday on a charge of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree. 32-year-old Christopher James Duncan of Hanvey Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center by a deputy from the Warrants Division. A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division spoke with a family member of the victim by phone on March 5, in regards to reports of a sexual assault that had occurred at a location in the Seneca area. The deputy began an investigation and gathered evidence in the case. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. As the investigation continued and evidence was gathered in the case, it was determined that Duncan had sexual relations with the female victim. Duncan was denied bond and remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center at this time. He will have a bond hearing before a Circuit Court Judge later. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
