Seneca Man arrested for pointing Shotgun at People

Earlier this month, two people reported to the Seneca Police Department that a man pointed a shotgun at them outside a bar on Highway 123. Police arrested 28-year-old Montrez O’Brian Jones of Seneca on two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person, not in self-defense, on Monday. The incident happened on April 13, and the victims were two women. Jones was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center and later released on a combined $20,000 personal recognizance bond. A trial date has not been set and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
