Seneca Man Arrested on Kidnapping and Domestic Violence Charges
According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin Damont Rucker, 49, of Keowee School Road in Seneca, was arrested early Sunday and remains at the Oconee County Detention Center on a $75,000 surety bond. Deputies responded to a convenience store on Highway 123, where they found an injured woman who reported being assaulted by Rucker in a nearby motel room. She alleged he struck her, choked her, threatened her life, and attempted to prevent her from leaving. The victim escaped to the store, where paramedics treated her injuries. Deputies arrested Rucker based on evidence from the investigation, and the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate.
