Seneca Man arrested on Outstanding Warrants

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man yesterday morning on two outstanding property crime warrants, explains Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt. “33-year-old Michael Lee Trotter of Twin Springs Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:25am. A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to the Seneca Walmart location on Sandifer Boulevard in regards to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Based upon a description provided for the vehicle in question, deputies were able to identify Trotter, whom they discovered at the store location as well as a female subject, 26-year-old Ariel Nicole Roach of Shrine Club Road in Seneca. Trotter had outstanding warrants from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of receiving stolen goods and obtaining a signature under false pretenses, which were based, according to arrest warrants, on a stolen trailer that belonged to Clemson University that Trotter obtained $1,100 for from another individual by false pretense or representation by knowingly selling a stolen trailer to the victim by representing that he could lawfully sell the trailer and while misrepresenting his true identity. Deputies also discovered that Roach had been placed on Trespass Notice from the Seneca Walmart location and was placed under arrest and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center where she was booked in around 5:16am. Roach was released from the Oconee County Detention Center yesterday on a $500 personal recognizance bond while Trotter remains in custody at this time on a combined $100,000 surety bond on the two property crimes charges.” In addition, Trotter will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of bond upon release. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
