Seneca Man killed in Traffic Accident

A 60-year-old Seneca man died Monday night at Greenville Memorial Hospital from apparent injuries sustained in a moped collision. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis reports that Ricky Eugene Price of Gammell Street in Seneca died at 8:48pm Monday night in the intensive care unit at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He reportedly sustained his injuries early Sunday morning, Aug. 26, at approximately 1:05am when he lost control of the moped he was operating. This collision occurred in the Utica area of Seneca on Jamerson Avenue between Humbert and Sirrine Streets. This collision was investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and an autopsy will be conducted Wednesday to assist with the death investigation.
