Seneca Man Remains in Jail after Arrest on Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor Charges

(Walhalla, SC) ————————————-A Seneca man remains in jail today, after his bond was denied, on four Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor charges.

41-year-old Kevin Bradley Turner was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at
around 9:37pm on Tuesday of this week. Turner will appear before a Circuit Court Judge, at a later time, regarding bond.

On Tuesday of this week, a Violent Crimes Investigator was notified that a man, identified as Turner, would be turning himself in at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla concerning a crime that had been committed.

At the Law Enforcement Center Tuesday evening, both of the Violent Crimes Investigators
spoke with Turner concerning reports that Turner had inappropriately touched a minor. Based upon evidence that was obtained during the investigation, an Investigator placed Turner under arrest. Turner was then transported jail.

After a presentation of the evidence to a judge, four arrest warrants were issued. According to the arrest warrants, the incident that led to the Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – First Degree charge occurred in 2019 when the victim was a child. The three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – Second Degree were obtained for crimes which occurred between March and July of this year with the victim being a teenager.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation. Due to the nature of the
crimes, and in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation and the minor victim, the
Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that could, either directly or indirectly, identify the minor victim.
