Seneca Men’s Basketball Team Defeats Camden; Advances To Second Round of Upper State Playoffs

The Seneca men’s basketball team advanced to the second round of the AAA Upper State playoffs last night with a 62-56 win over Camden at Bobcat Gym. Jared Rogers finished unofficially with 26 points to lead Seneca. Joseph Goss added 12 for the Bobcats. 

The Seneca men will host a second round playoff game Friday at 7pm thanks to Clinton’s upset last night of Chapman by a score of 67-61. The winner of the Seneca – Clinton game will face the winner of the Newberry – Chester in the third round of the playoffs next Tuesday night. 

The Seneca women’s team will be back in action tomorrow night as they host Chapman in the second round of the AAA Upper State playoffs on the women’s side. Tip-off time will be at 6:30pm. Our coverage of the game begins at 6:15pm tomorrow night on 94.1 The Lake. The winner of the Seneca – Chapman game will play the winner of the Keenan – Woodruff game next Monday. 

The Walhalla men’s team will host Blue Ridge tonight in the first round of the AAAA Upper State playoffs. Tip-off time for that game is scheduled for 7pm.  Last night, the Walhalla women’s tip lost to Blue Ridge 67-42 in the first round of the AAAA Girls Upper State playoffs.
