Seneca Police Department Arrests Seneca Woman After Hit and Run Accident

(Seneca, SC)—————The Seneca Police Department arrested a Seneca woman late Tuesday evening on multiple charges related to an automobile accident. 

39 year old Crystal Dewyna Baker was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Hit and Run with Minor Personal Injury and Driving Under Suspension. 

Late Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to reports of an motor vehicle accident at the intersection of East South 6th Street and South Fairplay Street. After officers arrived on scene, Baker left the scene in her vehicle. Baker and her vehicle were located later at a separate location inside the city limits. 

The complainant was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Baker was then placed under arrest and transported to the Detention Center. 

According to the arrests warrant, Baker was involved in an accident that resulted in minor personal injury to the victim and did fail to stop or remain at the scene of the accident to provide aid and information as required by law.
