Seneca Police Department Makes Second Arrest In March Grand Larceny Case

(Seneca, SC)———–The Seneca Police Department has arrested a second subject on charges related to a reported theft from a Seneca business from March of this year.

On March 24th, an officer from the Seneca Police Department responded to a business location at Oconee Square Drive in regards to a reported theft.

A review of the evidence gathered showed that a white male was seen at the business location around 2am that same morning, upon which the suspect stole a white 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck and a 7’ x 14’ trailer from the business location that had business related items inside.

As the investigation continued, the vehicle reported stolen was located by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. The subject that was in operation of the vehicle was also taken into custody.

Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, investigators obtained an arrest warrant against 26 year old Andrew Chance Keaton of Starr on a charge of Grand Larceny. Keaton turned himself in at the Seneca Police Department on April 15th and was placed under arrest and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center.

On the same day as the arrest warrant was obtained against Keaton, investigators obtained an arrest warrant against 42 year old Michael Shawn Wilson of Anderson on a charge of Grand Larceny.

Last Thursday, the Seneca Police Department was contacted in reference to a hit on Wilson through the National Crimes Information Center database. An officer from the Seneca Police Department met with officers from Anderson County and custody of Wilson was transferred to the officers from Seneca PD, after which, Wilson was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center.

According to the arrest warrant, Wilson is accused of aiding, abetting, conspiring or confederating with Keaton to steal the Chevrolet pickup truck and the EZ Ride V-Nosed trailer.
