Seneca Police Officer Retires After More Than A Decade Of Service

After 13 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Seneca Police Department, Lieutenant Brian Sheriff has retired.  He served as the department’s events coordinator, with accident reconstruction and was over vehicle services.

Before coming to SPD, he served many years with South Carolina Highway Patrol.

“Brian wore many hats and worked closely with other city departments as well, he will be missed greatly and I congratulate him and we wish him the best in the next chapter of his life.”

At his retirement luncheon on Wednesday at the Shaver Complex, he was also named the Seneca Police Officer of the year.

The award was presented to Brian by Helen Westmoreland from the sheriff’s office on behalf of the Blue Ridge Electric Coop’s annual award program.
