Seneca Police round up 25 in Drug Sweep

In their fight against illegal drugs, the Seneca Police Department conducts numerous investigations consisting of undercover operations resulting in drug buys, targeting drug dealers and their illegal transactions within the city limits.  Because of these investigations, numerous arrest warrants were obtained on various subjects.  On Thursday, officers of the Seneca Police Department, assisted by Oconee County Sheriff’s deputies and the Westminster Police Department, attempted to arrest 38 suspects on 70 warrants for various illegal drug offenses.  Seneca Police Chief John Covington reports the round up was a success as officers arrested 25 suspects without incident.  Efforts will continue to apprehend the remaining suspects wanted on illegal drug related offenses.
