Seneca Police seize 48K of Marijuana during Drug Arrest

On Thursday, July 12, officers of the Seneca Police Department Narcotics Unit were notified by an anonymous source that a package being delivered to a residence inside the city limits contained an amount of narcotics believed to be marijuana. Pursuant to the investigation, information was developed pointing to a resident, Sylvester Monrow McCauley, that was to receive the package. Investigators were able to confirm the information and delivery to McCauley resulting in the seizure of 5.3 pounds of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. That amount has a street value of $48,000. McCauley was arrested by Seneca Narcotics Officers for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, third offense and was subsequently served with the warrant while in custody. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
