Seneca selling Jazzing for a Cure T-shirts

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the City of Seneca is raising awareness and funds through the sale of t-shirts.  Cancer survivor Helen Martin gives details. “Get your ‘Jazzing for a Cure’ t-shirts, they are beautiful t-shirts, they are gray and on the back it has pink and black with ‘Jazzing for a Cure’ on the back.  We would like everyone to come out and get a shirt, they are only $10.  If you are not ale to get to Jazz on the Tuesday, which we hope everybody can come this Thursday night, you can get one at City Hall.” ‘Jazzing for a Cure’ t-shirts are on sale at Seneca City Hall now through the end of the month while supplies last.   Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander hopes the community will buy a t-shirt and wear it to Jazz on the Alley this Thursday night from 6:30pm to 9pm on Ram Cat Alley.  “What we want to do is get the awareness out.  We thank Helen and everybody for allowing the city to be a part and having this event in downtown during Jazz on the Alley.  It is through the whole month to get the awareness out.  Cancer has touched everybody’s lives in some way or another and what we want to do is continue to fight for a cure to make that disease go away.” The Jaime Wright Experience is this week’s band for Jazz on the Alley.  Throughout the night, different people from the community will share their experiences with cancer in an effort to raise awareness and support in the fight for a cure.
