Seneca still interviewing for Finance Officer

The City of Seneca is still interviewing candidates for finance officer and clerk/treasurer. In March, Joel Seavey resigned from Seneca to take a similar position with the City of Clemson. Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander gives an update on finding his replacement. “We have interviewed lots of people; I’m hoping we are getting toward the end of it but have a couple of real good candidates. There are several things that the city needs to have checked out before we make any type of offer, but some strong candidates there, so hopefully if every thing continues to move forward maybe in the next few weeks or months we will have a new person coming on board. I want to thank all the staff there too. To all the ladies in the office there that have really stepped up and continue to make sure every thing is done right. I appreciate them because it has been several months now and we are just trying to make sure that we hire the right person because that is very, very important.” To read more about the job opening, visit the city’s website at www.seneca.sc.us.
