Seneca Welcomes Crowds to Inaugural Amphitheater Celebration

The newly completed Daniel W. Alexander Amphitheater has officially opened to the public in downtown Seneca, transforming the central district into a lively hub of music, dance, and multi-generational community fellowship. The facility’s namesake, Former Mayor Dan Alexander, sat alongside his wife, Wanda, to enjoy the inaugural performances, reflecting on the venue’s deep meaning to the local population.

While the expansive open-air pavilion successfully welcomed its initial crowds after securing its Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) and passing all critical safety inspections, city officials noted that minor finishing touches remain on the horizon. Seneca Administrator Scott Moulder explained that recent heavy weather patterns—which brought roughly four and a half inches of rainfall—presented minor logistical hurdles for the freshly laid grounds, requiring certain sections of turf to be temporarily cordoned off to protect the soil until a final construction walk-through and punch list are completed.
