Seneca Woman Facing Multiple Drug Charges

Westminster Police said they arrested the 28-year old driver of a Jeep Liberty following a traffic stop at Long Creek Highway and West North Avenue on Tuesday. During the traffic stop, a K-9 unit was deployed and performed a free air sniff around the Jeep. Police said the dog indicated the presence of narcotics.

Kristal Jasmine Lynn Bernhardt of Seneca was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine; unlawful carry of firearm; unlawful possession of prescription medication; uninsured vehicle, misuse of vehicle license plates, distribution of a controlled substance with intent to commit a crime, and misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Her bond was set at more than $50,000 and she remains in custody at this time.
