Sewer South Phase 2 Nearing Compeletion

The Sewer South Phase 2 Project, overseen by the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority, is expected to be completed by the end of June 2024, according to executive director Chris Eleazer. The project is currently 90% complete and is anticipated to remain under budget, with savings of about $500,000 already realized. Despite potential change orders related to creek bank stabilization and modifications to the station location, the project is still expected to come in under budget. The completion of the project will result in a permit to operate, potentially a full one, marking the end of a long-awaited infrastructure upgrade.
