Shelter Project qualifies for $100K Match

The campaign to raise money for an Oconee County shelter to protect the abused has raised enough funds to qualify for a $100,000 match.  The official announcement is to be made next week during a news conference. A Seneca couple, Fran and Bob Hanson, promised they would personally match dollar for dollar up to $100,000 raised. The Oconee County Shelter Campaign credits overwhelming support and efforts from the community and throughout the Upstate. By August 15, 2013, $687,549 has been raised. That leaves a little more than $300,000 to meet the campaign goal.
