Sheriff encouraging Play at Oconee State Park

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is urging all Oconee County citizens to take advantage of a free and fun event at Oconee State Park on April 20.  The event is being billed as “Come Out & Play Day at Oconee State Park” and will feature many free activities and free food to the first 200 people.  Some of the free activities that you can advantage on this date include Carpet Golf, Boat Rentals, Fishing Demos, and a Hayride Park Tour.  In addition, there will be square dance lessons, live music, Geocaching, and Fish printing.  The free event will also give Oconee County residents an opportunity to see the cabins, shelters and meeting facilities at Oconee State Park. Admission is free to the Park that day, and all activities are free.
