SHS Choral Spring Concert on May 5

The Seneca High School Choral Department will present a Spring Concert on Sunday, May 5 at 3pm.  The venue for the concert is Seneca Baptist Church on Hwy. 59 in Seneca.  The program will feature the Women’s Chorus, Intermediate Women’s Chorus, Men’s Chorus, Honors Women’s Chorus, Honors Chorale and the Vocal Jazz Singers.  Highlights of the concert include the Women’s Chorus singing “Song for the Unsung Hero” and the Intermediate Women’s Chorus performing “Taylor, the Latte Boy” featuring Kara Pullium.  The Men’s Chorus will be singing “Tshotsholoza” and “Walk Like a Man” with staging by Mrs. Pam Jennings.  The Honors Women’s Chorus and the Honors Chorale will present their State Choral Festival repertoire and “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” as a senior dedication.  The Honors Chorale was the winner of the 3A State Choral Competition this past March. The Vocal Jazz Singers will perform such popular hits including the Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby” and Lionel Ritchie’s “All Night Long” featuring Allen Williams as soloist. The choirs are under the direction of Mrs. Masheila Cobb and Ms. Diane McFarlane. Admission is free and open to the public.
