SHS Cross Country Teams continue Fantastic Fall Seasons

Seneca High School (SHS) announces that student-athletes continue to have fantastic fall seasons in cross country. SHS Athletic Director Andy Bay announces, “The cross country teams competed in the region meet Tuesday at Liberty High School. Our girls team won the 2018 Region Championship with seven of our girls finishing in the top ten. If you have not had a chance to see these girls run, you are missing an exciting thing to watch. Carson Towe won the entire girls race with a time of 19:56, and was named the 2018 Region 1 AAA Runner of the Year. This girl can run!! The boys team also had a strong race, with the team finishing fourth in the region.” All Region selections for the girls were Carson Towe, Sariah Stewart, Catherine Cann, Micayla Collins, Ava Nimmons, Nicole Feagan, and Sidney Doyle. All Region selections for the boys were Will Dodd and Sam Dodd. In addition, the SHS JV Girls Team finished first overall as well. Also, Coach Leavell Wall was named the 2018 Region 1 AAA Coach of the Year. “He has done a great job with our students, I am proud to have him on our staff,” added Coach Bay.
