SHS invites Businesses to be Service Learners

Molding the minds of tomorrow is a responsibility of the entire community and Seneca High School invites area businesses to get involved.  The school offers a program where students take courses at businesses to see if they are interested in that particular career field, explains Seneca High School Guidance Director Karen Trammell.  “We do try to get our kids involved as early as the tenth grade in the service learning program.  They can tell their counselor what their interests are and they will find out real quick if that is really their interest.  We try to get kids involved in their career interest areas.  Businesses can get involved if you want to host a service learner for a semester or a year, contact us at the high school and we can certainly set that up.  We always need slots for our kids because we usually have 250 to 300 kids involved in service learning each semester.” If your business would like to get involved in the service learning program, contact the guidance office at Seneca High School to learn more.
