SHS praising Girls’ Golf, Tennis and Volleyball Teams

Seneca High School (SHS) Athletic Director Andy Bay is signing the praises of the girl’s golf, tennis and volleyball teams. “The golf team competed in the Region tournament yesterday and finished in second place in the region, they finished second to Pendleton only by 1 stroke. Mattie Padgett, an 8th grader, was named the Region Player of the Year by winning the tournament yesterday. Anne Leroy and Amelia Evatt both made the All Region team with their performance yesterday. Please congratulate these ladies and come out to support them on Oct. 15, at Boscobel Golf Course at 9am for the Upper State Qualifier. The following ladies are members of the SHS Girls’ Golf Team: Caroline Childs, Emma Edwards, Lacey Edwards, Amelia Evatt, Anne Leroy, Megan McConnell, Mattie Padgett, Megan Shadwick and Aneri Vasoya. The girls’ tennis team finished second in the region to Powdersville this year, earning a home playoff match in the near future. The tennis team will play their final home regular season match tomorrow afternoon starting at 5:30pm, if the rain holds off. This will be their senior night and we will be recognizing Coach Molloseau for her coaching career at SHS. Please congratulate the following ladies: Caroline Black, Leah Broome, Savannah Burress, Briana Epps, Haley Leroy, Kayle Massey, Gabby Molloseau, Ashlyn Patterson, Shreya Santhanam, Stephanie Seigler, Katlynn Shepherd, Abbey Smith and Hannah Tensley. The volleyball team is still fighting for second place in the Region, their last regular season game is at Pendleton on Oct. 11, with JV starting at 5:30pm followed by the Varsity around 7pm.” Go Bobcats!
