Sign Variance Approved for New Seneca Convenience Store

A new convenience store near Seneca received approval this week for a zoning variance for stacked signs. The Stop-A-Minit store, now under construction, will be located on Sandifer Boulevard across from Wal-Mart.

The Oconee Board of Appeals approved a variance for an increase of 93 square feet from a 75 square-foot limit for stack signs.

Dave Smith of Anderson’s Signarama said under Oconee’s existing rules, three separate signs would be permitted, but that’s not what Stop-A-Minit would like…

District Two’s Gwen Fowler said she would prefer one sign as opposed to three…

The variance was approved on unanimous vote by the Board.
