SMS adding Seventh Grade Football Team

More students will have the opportunity to play football this fall in Seneca that is because Seneca Middle School (SMS) has added a seventh grade team, explains Seneca High School Athletic Director Andy Bay. “We’re very excited about that. Coach Stanley LeRoy coached me when I was in the recreation league years ago and he does a great job with that age group keeping them excited and pushing them through to us at the high school. They have been working on that for a couple of years now creating a seventh grade team and we now have that. So, the middle school has a seventh grade and an eighth grade football team. The seventh grade team has five games and two of those will be played at Seneca High School. So, we are excited about that, that will be a few more football games this year and it just allows those kids more playing time.” To see schedules for all the Bobcat teams this fall semester, visit www.senecabobcats.com.
