South Carolina Department Of Public Safety Reports A Total Of 12 Persons Killed On South Carolina Roadways Over The Thanksgiving Weekend
(Seneca, SC)–The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announced this week that a total of 12 persons were killed on South Carolina roadways during the 102 hour Thanksgiving Day travel period, which ran from last Wednesday, November 27th at 6pm until just before midnight this past Sunday, December 1st.
One of the twelve deaths occurred during the actual weekend time period between 6pm last Friday, November 29th and just before midnight this past Sunday.
As of Sunday, December 1st, 901 people have died on South Carolina roadways so far this year compared to 965 highway deaths during the same time period in 2018.
As of this past Sunday, 32 people have died on roadways in Anderson County, 16 persons have died on roadways in Oconee County and 14 persons have died on Pickens County so far this year.
