South Carolina Highway Patrol Investigating Fatal Wednesday Night Accident Near Walhalla

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that occurred late Wednesday evening. According to Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis, a 25 year old Walhalla man died from injuries sustained in the single vehicle collision. 

The accident occurred on the Coffee Road just south of Walhalla at approximately 11:25pm. 

Coroner Addis states that the deceased lost control of a Dodge 1500 pickup in a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and overturned. The driver, who was unrestrained, was ejected from the vehicle and the vehicle did come to rest on him. 

Late this morning, Coroner Addis identified the victim as Kenneth Nathan Dailey.  Coroner Addis has classified the manner of death as accidental and no autopsy will be ordered.
