South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Charges Former Pickens County Detention Officer And Two Others In Investigation Into Scheme To Provide Meth To Inmates At Pickens County Detention Center

(Seneca, SC)——————-The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a former Pickens County Detention Center officer and two other individuals as a result of an investigation into a scheme to provide methamphetamine to inmates at the Pickens County Detention Center. 

23 year old Zachary Keith Blanton, who is the former Detention Center officer, has been charged by SLED agents with two counts of Conspiracy. Blanton was also charged by SLED agents in February of this year with Misconduct in Office and Furnishing Contraband to Prisoners, according to a SLED press release. 

45 year old Susan Lynn Maready of Easley was also charged with Conspiracy in relation to the investigation. 

Finally, 33 year old Dustin Allen Wilson of Pickens, was also charged with Conspiracy as a result of the investigation. Wilson was listed in the arrest warrants obtained by SLED as an inmate at the time in which the incident occurred. 

Blanton, Maready and Wilson were booked into the Pickens County Detention Center. 

The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
