South Carolina Sheriff’s Association Membership Program Letters Arrive in Homes Across Oconee County

A letter that arrived in Oconee County mailboxes within the last couple of weeks was a membership solicitation letter from the South Carolina Sheriff’s Association. And Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw wants everyone to know that this is a legitimate letter and not a scam solicitation. The state Sheriff’s Association is prepared to help the 46 county sheriffs in the state with enforcement efforts, provide important tools and training, as well as advocate for the profession in the chambers of both the state and federal governments. Sheriff Crenshaw said that,”The Spring Honorary Membership Program letters were approved to be mailed out many months ago when no one obviously knew about COVID-19 or its impact on our citizens or the economy.”
