SPC Recommends Approval of Two Zoning Requests

The Seneca Planning Commission approved two rezoning requests this week. The property at 358 Garrison Road was rezoned from no zoning to planned development residential, with plans for 122 new homes near the new Seneca Middle School. The developer will seek annexation into the city. A second request from Kenneth Jeffcoat was approved despite concerns about housing density. Additionally, a 2.4-acre parcel on Frontage Road was rezoned from planned development undeveloped to general commercial for commercial development. Both requests require two readings by the Seneca City Council for final approval. The Seneca Zoning Board of Appeals also approved a request for setback relief to allow a deck on a South 3rd Street property.
