Sports Update For April 4th, 2019; West-Oak Defeats Walhalla In Softball Action

(Seneca, SC)—————–West-Oak defeated Walhalla in softball action yesterday by a score of 10-2. Donald of West-Oak had three hits to lead the lady Warriors. 

The Walhalla baseball team defeated Woodmont last night by a final score of 3-1. James Hanvey had two hits to lead Walhalla. Cody Barnes pitched a complete game for the win for Walhalla, striking out two while only giving up one run and four hits. 

Due to bad weather in the forecast, the Seneca and Walhalla baseball games scheduled for tomorrow have been moved to tonight. Alden Broome, the Athletic Director at Walhalla, says the game against Wren will be played tonight at Walhalla. Also, the C team/JV double header against West-Oak is still scheduled for this Saturday. 

Meanwhile, the Seneca baseball game against Crescent will be played tonight at 6pm at Seneca, according to Athletic Director Andy Bay. Also, Coach Bay has announced that a decision has been made by all coaches in the region to play the last two region game on Monday and Thursday of next week instead of Tuesday and Friday in case a date is needed for potential tie-breakers. Therefore, Seneca baseball will host Pendleton Monday night at 6:30pm and then return the game with the Bulldogs Thursday night at Pendleton at 7pm.
