Sports update For Friday, September 20th, 2019: Seneca To face palmetto tonight in a game to be broadcast on 94.1 the lake

(Seneca, SC)———–The Seneca Bobcats will play their first home game in three weeks tonight at Bobcat Stadium at Tom Bass Field as the Cats will host Palmetto.

Palmetto comes into tonight’s game with a 2-1 record after a win Monday night against Crescent in a game that was rescheduled from last Friday night.

The message that Palmetto Coach Doug Shaw has for his team is not to take the winless Bobcats lightly.

“Our kids are trying to understand that don’t let that record fool you, they are a good football team,” says Coach Shaw. “In watching film, they’re (Seneca) moving the ball on Chapman, they’re moving the ball on Daniel and they moved the ball on Woodruff, so our defense has got to really play well.”

Meanwhile, the South Carolina Gamecocks will look to pick up their first SEC win tomorrow at they hit the road to take on Missouri.

Missouri, of course, is led on offense by former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant, a player who Gamecock Coach Will Muschamp has a tremendous amount of respect for.

“He’s a winner. That is the one thing that jumps out at you. He throws the ball extremely well. He throws the vertical balls well,” says Coach Muschamp. “He evades and moves to create to throw the ball more than he does to run the ball. I don’t know facing him before at a different school means an awful lot other than I got tremendous respect for him.”
