Sports Update For Thursday, December 12th, 2019; South Carolina Announces Home And Home Football Series With Virginia Tech
(Seneca, SC)—-South Carolina announced yesterday that it has signed a home and home series in football with Virginia Tech from the ACC.
The Hokies will visit Williams-Brice Stadium on September 16th, 2034 while the Gamecocks will return the game at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg on September 15th, 2035.
The last time South Carolina and Virginia Tech played was back in 1991, with Carolina winning that game in Columbia 28-21.
Furman picked up their ninth win of the season at home last night with a 90-65 win over North Greenville. Mike Bothwell led Furman in scoring with 25 points.
The West-Oak Wrestling team picked up wins over Tuesday night over Westside and T.L. Hanna with 10 Warrior wrestlers picking up individual wins. And over this past weekend, the Warrior Wrestling team finished 2nd at the Kings of the Mountain tournament with Ryan Dobbs and Matthew Williams being crowned as a tournament champion. Matthew was also named outstanding wrestler.
