Sports Update For Thursday, February 28th, 2019; Walhalla Defeats Pendleton In Pickens Pre-Season Baseball Tournaments

(Seneca, SC)——————-In the Pickens Pre-Season Baseball Tournament last night, Walhalla picked up a 2-1 win over Pendleton. James Hanvey drove in both Walhalla runs last night and also had four strikeouts in 1.2 innings pitched. Hunter Nichols had five strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched. 

Games scheduled for tonight in the Pickens Pre-Season Baseball Tournament will have Pickens taking on Walhalla at 5 pm and Daniel taking on Pendleton with the first pitch scheduled at 7:30 pm. 

The Clemson basketball team picked up an important road win last night in the ACC with a 62-48 win over Pittsburgh. Clemson is now 17-11 overall and 7-8 in the ACC. The Clemson women’s basketball team will travel to Duke tonight for a game with a 7 pm tip-off. 

The South Carolina women’s team will hit the road in the SEC for a 7 pm tip-off tonight against Auburn. 

The Clemson and South Carolina baseball series is this weekend with the first game at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson Friday night, an afternoon game Saturday in Greenville at Fluor Field and a Sunday afternoon game at Founder’s Park in Columbia.
