Sports Update For Thursday, May 30th, 2019; Alabama At South Carolina Football Game On September 14th To Kickoff At 3:30PM

(Seneca, SC)————-South Carolina announced yesterday that the Gamecocks home football game against Alabama on Saturday, September 14th will kick-off at 3:30pm and will be broadcast on CBS. 

The last time the Gamecocks played Alabama at Williams-Brice Stadium was October 9th of 2010, when Carolina upset the then number one ranked Crimson Tide by a score of 35-21. 

The Southeastern Conference announced yesterday the conference opponents that each conference school will face in the upcoming 2019-2020 basketball season. 

For South Carolina, the Gamecocks will face Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Texas A & M and Vanderbilt in home and home series this coming season. Carolina will also face Florida, Kentucky, LSU and Missouri at home as well. 

Clemson golfer Bryson Nimmer has been named a Ping first team All-American by the Collegiate Golf Coaches Association. Nimmer becomes the first Ping first-team All-American golfer at Clemson since Kyle Stanley was selected in 2009. 

Furman sophomore softball player Marissa Guimbarda recently garnered National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Region Third Team honors. Guimbarda was one of two Southern Conference players to pick up the honor.
