Sports Update For Thursday, October 10th, 2019; South Carolina travels to Athens to face #3 Georgia on Saturday

(Seneca, SC)——The South Carolina Gamecocks return to action this Saturday in the SEC after an open week as they travel to Athens to take on #3 Georgia at Sanford Stadium.

South Carolina football coach Will Muschamp had high praise this week for the Bulldog team on both offense and defense.

“Georgia has got a really good football team. You start at quarterback. Jake Fromm is completing about 80% of his passes. I think he was 24 of 29 Saturday night. Very accurate with the football. A lot of command in what they do offensively,” according to Coach Muschamp.

“Defensively, very deep and talented. On the front seven, they play a lot of guys up front and roll guys in there. Play hard, play tough, play physical,” according to Coach Muschamp.

Our coverage of this Saturday’s South Carolina – Georgia game begins at 11am with the pregame show and then kickoff is scheduled for Noon.

The Walhalla Razorbacks will be looking to rebound from last week’s loss at home against B-HP as they travel to Pickens to take on the Blue Flame.

Pickens also lost last week to Wren to open up region play and Walhalla Coach Padgett Johnson discusses the keys to tomorrow’s night game if Walhalla is to be successful.

“You’ve got to stop the run first and foremost with Pickens. They will shorten the game quickly if you don’t stop them from running the ball,” according to Coach Padgett.

“When we have it, we have to be able to score and put pressure on them. We going to have to be efficient, as well, when we are on offense because you know your possessions will be somewhat limited,” says Coach Padgett.
