Sports Update For Thursday, September 26th, 2019; Week Five of the high school football season tomorrow night

(Seneca, SC)——————-Week Five of the high school football season tomorrow night will be highlighted by the Walhalla Razorbacks (4-0) attempting to go 5-0 on the season as they host Carolina Academy (1-4) at Picket Post.

Walhalla Head Coach Padgett Johnson that the Razorbacks level of execution has to get better and their concentration on assignments has to improve as well, especially on offense.

Johnson said that they have given up a few big plays on defense in the last few games. However, most of the issues are correctable for his team.

The West-Oak Warriors (1-3) will wrap up their non-conference schedule tomorrow night at Warrior Field as they host Landrum (3-2)

West-Oak Head Coach Tim Carson says that Landrum is a good, physical football team and their running backs from Landrum will be the best they have faced so far. Carson also expect Landrum’s 3-4 defense to be aggressive Friday night as well.

Carson feels that the Warriors offensive line will be a key to the game tomorrow night in regards to protecting their quarterback and running the football. Carson also feels that tackling will be the big key tomorrow night for his team.

For the undefeated Daniel Lions (4-0), it is an open week for Jeff Fruster’s team as they get ready for conference play next Friday night against Palmetto.

Coach Fruster says the Lions have worked this week to solidify their game plans, rest some, make sure their players stay in a practice routine as they watch film and correct mistakes.
