Sports Update For Tuesday, April 2nd; Seneca Women’s Soccer Team Wins On Senior Night Over Crescent

(Seneca, SC)————-The Seneca women’s soccer team picked up a victory on senior night last night with a 2-0 win over Crescent. Madison Towe and Margery Wells had the two goals for the Lady Cats. Anne-Hamilton Leroy and Reagan Baird had assists in the game. The Seneca women’s team will travel to Pendleton for a game Thursday. 

The Walhalla golf team picked up a win over Pickens and Daniel at Falcon’s Lair yesterday in a golf match. Walhalla’s team score was 155 with Daniel finishing with a team score of 171 and Pickens finished third with a team score of 177. 

There was a three way tie for the medalist winner in the match. Davis Crowe and Grayson Edmonds of Walhalla along with Nick Smith of Pickens finished with individual scores of 37.

Walhalla will play in the Pickens Invitational this month.

The Seneca and Walhalla baseball teams will be in action tonight. Seneca will travel to Crescent with first pitch scheduled for 6:30pm. Walhalla will also be on the road as they travel to Wren with a 7pm first pitch. 

The Clemson baseball team, coming off a weekend sweep against Virginia Tech, will host Georgia tonight at Doug Kingsmore stadium with a 6pm first pitch. 

Meanwhile, the South Carolina baseball team will travel to Charlotte tonight for a game against North Carolina State at BB&T park. South Carolina lost two out of three games against Auburn over the weekend at Founders Park in Columbia.
