Sports Update For Tuesday, December 10th, 2019; Clemson Co-Offensive Coordinator Jeff Scott Named Head Football Coach At South Florida

(Seneca, SC)——The University of South Florida announced yesterday that Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott will be their new Head Football Coach. 

Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney said in a statement yesterday that Coach Scott will serve in the head coaching capacity at South Florida for the next week and then rejoin the Tigers during the latter half of next week and will remain with Clemson for the duration of their run in the College Football Playoffs. 

The Southeastern Conference announced yesterday that three South Carolina defensive players, defensive end D.J. Wonnum, defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw and cornerback Israel Mukuamu have been named second team All-SEC. 

Also, Wonnum and Kinlaw have accepted invitations to play in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL on January 25th. 

The Seneca men’s and women’s basketball teams will travel to Westside tonight for a matchup with the Rams. Tipoff time for the women’s game will be 6pm with the men’s game scheduled to tipoff at 7:30pm. The JV team from Seneca will face Westside at 5:15pm.
