Sports Update For Tuesday, February 19th; Seneca Women Fall To Keenan In AAA Upper State Playoffs
(Seneca, SC)———————-The Seneca women’s basketball team’s quest for a third straight trip to the Upper State Championship game was halted last night in Bobcat Gym by Keenan. The Lady Raiders went on the road and defeated the Lady Cats in the third round of the AAA Upper State playoffs 79-67. The Lady Cats were down by as many as twenty in the first half before taking a six point lead in the second half before eventually losing.
Milaysia Fulwiley, who is an 8th grader for Keenan, led her team with 29 points. Anne Hamilton Leroy, in her final game as a Lady Cat, led Seneca in scoring with 24 points.
The Seneca men will take center stage tonight in their quest for a trip to the Upper State AAA championship game Saturday in Greenville. Their task tonight, defeating Chester. Tip-off time at Bobcat Gym is set for 6:30 pm, our airtime here on The Lake tonight is 6:15 pm.
The Clemson basketball team will be back in action tonight for a 9 pm tip-off at home at Littlejohn Coliseum against Florida State. The Clemson baseball team defeated Charlotte yesterday 7-6 to go 3-1 on the year. The South Carolina baseball team will take on Winthrop today in Columbia at 4 pm. The South Carolina basketball team will host Ole Miss tonight at Colonial Life Arena at 7 pm.
