Sports Update For Tuesday, March 19th, 2019: Seneca And Walhalla Baseball Teams Play Conference Games Tonight

(Seneca, SC)—————The Seneca baseball team will travel to West-Oak for a game in the Western AAA conference tonight with a first pitch scheduled for 6:30pm. 

The Walhalla baseball team will host Pickens tonight in a game in Region 1-AAAA. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm. 

Spring practice will be begin soon for area high school football teams and the Senece Bobcats are no exception. According to new Seneca Football Coach David Crane, the Bobcats will have their first practice of the spring on May 1st. Coach Crane says that there is one area in particular that Seneca has to work on and improve on this spring and that is on both sides of the line of scrimmage, where Coach Crane says the Bobcats must become more physical. Coach Crane says there will be a lot of contact work once the transition is made to full pads. 

The spring game for the Seneca Bobcats is set for Gignillet Field on Friday, May 24th at 6:30pm. 

The Clemson baseball team will host the College of Charleston today at 4pm at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Clemson basketball team will host Wright State in the first round of the NIT tonight at Littlejohn Coliseum with a 7pm tip-off. 

The Clemson women’s basketball team was selected for the NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament yesterday. The Lady Tigers are headed to Starkville, Mississippi to face South Dakota at 7pm eastern time Friday. 

The South Carolina baseball team will travel to Greenville to face Furman tonight with a 6pm first pitch at Fluor Field. 

The South Carolina women’s basketball team will be heading to Charlotte for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Friday at Halton Arena against Belmont. 

The Southern Wesleyan Baseball team will take on Anderson University tonight at 6pm at Connor Field.
