Sports Update For Tuesday, March 5th, 2019; Walhalla Golf Team Wins First Conference Match Of The Season

(Seneca, SC)———————————–The Seneca regular season opener in baseball that was scheduled for last night against Daniel was postponed due to wet field conditions, according to Seneca Baseball Coach Andy Bay. The varsity team will play at Greenville Wednesday with a first pitch scheduled for 6pm. Greenville will then play at Seneca Thursday night with a 6pm first pitch. 

The JV Softball game for Seneca was also postponed last night, however, the Seneca varsity softball team picked up a win over B-HP by a score of 4-2.. The Seneca boys and girls soccer teams were in action last night with the the Seneca Lady Cats picking up a 2 to 1 win over Palmetto at home. Madison Towe and Jenna Wilson scores goals for Seneca. Amma Merck allowed only one goal while recording eight saves. The Lady Cat soccer team will return to action at West-Oak Thursday night at 7pm. 

The Walhalla baseball team will open up regular season play tonight at home against Palmetto with a 6:30pm first pitch. 

The Walhalla golf team picked up their first region win of the season by seven strokes over B-HP at Pine Lake in Anderson. The final team score for the Razorbacks was 163 while the final team score for B-HP was 170. Ross Craft of B-HP was the medalists for the match with an individual score of 34. Davis Crowe of Walhalla had the lowest individual score for the Razorbacks with a 37. The Walhalla golf team will host Stephens County next Tuesday at Falcon’s Lair. 

The Clemson baseball team will take on Furman tonight at Fluor Field in Greenville with a 6pm first pitch. 

The South Carolina baseball team will host the Citadel today at Founders Park in Columbia with a 4pm first pitch. The South Carolina basketball team will play tonight at Texas A&M with a 7pm eastern time tip-off.
