Sports Update For Tuesday, SEptember 17th 2019; SEC Announces Kickoff Time For Kentucky AT South Carolina on September 28th

(Seneca, SC)—-The Southeastern Conference has announced that the Kentucky at South Carolina game at Williams-Brice Stadium next Saturday, September 28th will kickoff at 7:30pm and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

Of course, you can hear every South Carolina football game right here on The Lake, including Saturday’s game at Missouri, with an airtime of 3pm and kickoff at 4pm eastern time.

South Carolina quarterback Ryan Hilinksi was named the SEC Freshman of the Week as he threw for 324 yards and two touchdowns against Alabama last Saturday.

The ACC announced that the Clemson game at North Carolina next Saturday, September 28th will kickoff at 3:30pm and will be broadcast on ABC or ESPN.

Three Clemson football players earned ACC Player of the Week honors coming off Clemson’s win Saturday night at Syracuse.

Tiger quarterback Trevor Lawrence was named co-ACC Quarterback of the Week along with Virginia’s Bryce Perkins, while Clemson offensive lineman John Simpson was named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week. Finally, Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons was named ACC Linebacker of the Week.

The women’s basketball team at Southern Wesleyan announced the signing of ten incoming freshman for the class of 2023, along with one newcomer.

Among the area signees are Guard Victoria Bailey from Easley Christian, Guard Brooke Henricks from Rabun County, GA, Guard Treasure Lone from West-Oak High, Guard Mikaela McDaniel from Powdersville High and Guard Rachel Page from Pickens High. The lone transfer to Southern Wesleyan was Forward/Center Mariah Danuser from Anderson who is transferring from Truett-McConnell.
