Sports Update For Wednesday, July 31st, 2019; Two Clemson Players Named To Bronco Nagurski Watch List
(Seneca, SC)—–Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons and Clemson Defensive End Xavier Thomas have been named to the watch list for the Bronko Nagurski trophy, which will be awarded to the National Defensive Player of the Year in college football.
Simmons and Thomas are among 92 players named to the watch list.
Nine former South Carolina student athletes have been elected to the University of South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame.
Among the former student-athletes selected include former Gamecock football players Marcus Lattimore and Rashad Faison.
The individuals selected will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Thursday, October 17th at the Zone at Williams-Brice Stadium and then be recognized at the South Carolina-Florida football game on Saturday, October 19th.
